Daniel Whyte III and Gospel Light Society have launched the “No New Year Without a New You” campaign to encourage people to not only make a change physically and mentally, but to make a change spiritually. Using the words of prominent figures, such as: singer Carrie Underwood, NBA player Kevin Durant, Super Bowl-winning coach Tony Dungy, writer and commentator Kirsten Powers, actor Blair Underwood, Olympic athlete Brady Ellison, Olympic gold medalist Sanya Richards-Ross, and PGA golf tour champion Webb Simpson, as well as principles from Scripture and the words of historical figures such as Napoleon Bonaparte, Robert Louis Stevenson, and others, people will see how Jesus Christ has changed millions of lives down through the years and how He can change their life as they go into the new year.
As a part of the “No New Year Without a New You” campaign, Daniel Whyte III shares a special message based on 2 Corinthians 5:17 in the Bible. Second Corinthians 5:17 says, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” Dissecting this verse, Whyte shows viewers how to have “a new you for the new year” through faith in Jesus Christ, how to become a “new creature” by living according to their status as a believer, and how to be successful in the new year by putting away “old things and focusing on the purpose God has given them.” Whyte says, “In Second Corinthians chapter 5, Paul is writing to the Corinthian believers about the implications of Christ’s death. He emphasizes that Christ died for ‘all men’, so anyone can have a new life through Jesus Christ. This is good news for us today because it lets us know that anyone can have a great change in their life through the power of the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.”
